Snowmass Mountain Resort

Snowmass Mountain Resort is located within the White River National Forest, adjacent to Snowmass Village and only 9 miles from downtown Aspen Colorado. With 3,128 acres of cruisers, steeps, terrain parks and halfpipes, Snowmass defies belief. The mountain is most known for its wide-open, groomed cruising and family-friendly activities. Snowmass has long been rated one of the best family ski areas in North America.

Snowmass Mountain, like Aspen Mountain opens in time for Thanksgiving Holidays and closes in mid April, staying open for the last rush of ski getaways. This season the mountain closes on April 16th, 2006. There is plenty of snowfall every year, so running out of snow is never an option, the Mountain averages 300 inches of snow every year.

Four-Mountain Sports at Two Creeks and Four-Mountain Sports/D & E Ski and Snowboard Shop on the Snowmass Village Mall are your the mountains Retal/rental shops. There is also a variety of places to dine and relax on your day at Snowmass Mountain. There are 9 restaurants at the Mountain including The Cirque Bar & Grill, Café Suzanne, Gwyn's High Alpine, Krabloonik, Lynn Britt Cabin (snowcat dinner rides), Burlingame Cabin (snowcat dinner rides), Two Creeks Mexican Café, Ullrhof, Up 4 Pizza.

The vertical rise of the mountains is 4,406 ft starting at the base of the mountain which is at 8,104 ft. There is 3,128 acres of Terrain that includes 88 different trails to give skiers and boarders plenty of options.

Snowmass Mountain's best kept secret is the daily "Noon Groom,” a freshly groomed run that re-opens at noon. Also can't forget the breakfast at Gwyn's High Alpine, it can't be beat.

New to the Village is the Village Express six-pack lift taking passengers from Fanny Hill to Sam's Knob. The Sky Cab, a fast and fun aerial link between existing Snowmass Village Mall and new Base Village joins commercial centers and integrates conference activities.
